Raad van de Raaf

Wereldmuseum Amsterdam

Wereldmuseum Amsterdam introduces a new, interactive children's exhibition with Raad van de Raaf. Here, young adventurers dive into the world of climate change and playfully discover how they themselves can make a positive difference for our planet. For this experience, after the successful Sabi Suriname app, Zooma developed a new app in collaboration with the museum. Whereas the previous app ran for five years on museum devices, the Raad van de Raaf app is now available for everyone's phone. Like the exhibition, this app is designed to enrich museum visits for at least five years.

The Raad van de Raaf app makes museum visits more interactive and personal for families and school classes. Visitors take photos in the app and receive a personalized video of their adventure afterwards. This way they take home the message of the exhibition and the core themes are repeated in a fun way. The video is easy to share with friends, family or via social media, which extends the learning experience and can increase visitor numbers.

At the start, visitors put together a group in the app. Then they can take photos in each theme room, in any order. Characters from the exhibition, such as Ivalu and Raymi, provide fun photo tips. Think about a photo in hunter Lars' kayak or on Greenland Malik's dogsled. After the visit, the app automatically generates a personalized video in the style of the exhibition. Users receive a push notification as soon as the video is ready and can share it via a link. The "Wheel of Action," an additional game element, encourages completing tasks and emphasizes that small actions make a big difference.

The app is now available for use during your visit. Download the iOS or Android app. Will you check it out?

Having previously developed the successful Sabi Suriname app with Zooma, we looked forward with great pleasure to working together again for a junior exhibition. The Zooma team thinks in possibilities, is very involved and simply very good at what they do. Experience and amazement are central to Wereldmuseum's junior exhibitions, and as can be seen in the app, Zooma has understood that well!

The Raad van de Raaf app builds on the strong technical foundation of the Sabi Suriname app, expanded with new, smart features. Modular development made it possible to work quickly and efficiently, without compromising on creativity and quality. Zooma provided intensive input on user experience, design and content.
