We build apps for our clients. If you download an app from us, we may ask you for information. This enables us, for example, to offer you the possibility to create an account or to provide other functionalities in the app. We value your privacy and will handle your personal data with care. From whom does Zooma process personal data?

We process personal data of the users of our apps. If we process your data, you will notice it because we ask you in the app to enter data and/or ask your permission to process your personal data.

What personal data does Zooma collect and use?

Depending on the functionalities offered by the app, we may collect and use the following data, among others:

  • first and last name (entered by user);
  • e-mail address (entered by user);
  • mobile number;
  • home address (entered by user);
  • weight, height, age (entered by user)
  • location information;
  • photos, videos or other footage (entered by user);
  • other data you provided with the app.

We use Google Analytics to track how users use our websites and apps. The information obtained with this is anonymous.

For what purposes does Zooma use my personal data?

Depending on the functionalities the app offers, we need personal data from the user for the proper functioning of the app. Which functionalities the app offers, we have agreed with our client and are apparent to the user from the app.

Am I obliged to provide my personal data?

No. If we need data from you for the app, we ask for your prior consent. If necessary, we will also ask you to enter your data in the process. You cannot give your consent or do not enter the requested data. In this case you may not be able to use the app or benefit from its full functionality. You can revoke a given consent at any time.

From whom does Zooma receive my personal data?

We receive your personal data from you yourself, because you actively enter the data or because we obtain these data from your cell phone or tablet. We may also receive data from, for example, your employer or other persons, institutions and organizations that you have authorized or that are authorized to exchange your personal data.

To whom does Zooma disclose my personal data?

We will only provide your personal data to persons or institutions outside our organization if you give permission or if this is necessary for the functionality of the app, and this is also clear from the app. You can think of the following persons or agencies:

  • yourself,
  • your partner and immediate family members,
  • your employer(s),
  • parties for processing payments,
  • other persons, institutions and organizations that you have authorized or that are authorized to exchange your personal data.

Sometimes we are obliged to provide your personal data to third parties, such as the tax authorities, police, judicial authorities or a supervisory authority. We provide only the personal data required by law and check whether the request is based on a legal requirement.

How long will my personal data be kept?

We keep personal data no longer than necessary for the proper functioning of the app. If we want to keep your data longer, we will ask your permission. Legal retention periods apply to some personal data. At the end of the retention period, the data is deleted. Therefore, certain of the privacy rights listed below, such as the right to information, data erasure, rectification or portability cannot be used after the expiration of the retention period.

What about data security?

We take appropriate security measures to prevent misuse of and unauthorized access to your personal data. For example, we ensure that only the necessary persons have access to the data, that access to the data is protected and that our security measures are checked regularly. We store the data on our own secure servers. If we use external storage (cloud services), we ensure that we make proper agreements with these parties about data security.

You yourself are responsible for the safe handling of, for example, your login data for the app, especially the password we have assigned you or that you have chosen yourself. These login details are for personal use only. You may not share login or other account information with others or third parties.

What privacy rights do I have?

You have the following legal rights when we process your personal data:

  • You can ask how your data is processed (right to information),
  • you can access your personal data (right of inspection),
  • you can have your personal data amended if it is incorrect (right of rectification),
  • you can have your personal data deleted (right to data deletion),
  • you can ask to restrict the processing of your personal data (right to restrict processing),
  • you can ask for your data to be transferred to you (for your own benefit or that of any other employer) (right of portability),
  • you can object to the processing of your personal data (right of objection),
  • you can withdraw a given consent, and
  • you can file a complaint with the Personal Data Authority (right to complain).

Where can I file a complaint about the processing of my personal data?

If you feel that we are not processing your personal data carefully, please contact us. We will assess your complaint and send you a response as soon as possible. You can also submit your complaint (directly) to the Personal Data Authority.

How do we deal with changes in the privacy policy?

This privacy policy was last updated on September 14, 2018. We may change this privacy policy from time to time as new developments warrant. The most current privacy policy can be found at www.zooma.nl.
