Vindicat
Well known student association
Vindicat is a well-known student association, based in Groningen and founded in 1815. With over 2000 active members, it is one of the largest student associations in Groningen, with a beautiful location on the Grote Markt. Since 2022, Zooma has been building the iOS and Android apps and an App Manager linked to their administration system Congressus.
The perfect app for Vindicat
The cooperation between Vindicat and Zooma went very well right from the start. We started with an extensive brainstorming session for version 1 of the app, which resulted in a clear list of wishes. Zooma then visualized these wishes and worked them out in detail in sketches and designs. Completely in the style of Vindicat, of course. Finally, the Zooma developers built the app, the app manager (CMS) and the link with the Vindicat administration system! The first version was launched in the summer of 2022 and was an immediate success. And since then we have been expanding the functionalities step by step in further development sprints....
Step by step we continue to build the apps
The native apps work at lightning speed and in terms of user-friendliness and functionality are on a par with the well-known social media apps. Think of features such as an interactive dashboard, a my environment (including my accounts), the latest news, photo albums, a message board, push notifications and much more!
And based on new insights from the Vindicat board and feedback from members, we are constantly developing the apps further. For example, additional modules have been created for sponsors and being able to reserve rooms in the Vindicat building, among other things. And members can now like posts, respond to each other and tag other members!
