Gearhing

Gearhing is the umbrella organization for 29 elementary school in the Frisian municipalities of De Friese Meren, Súdwest-Fryslân and Littenseradiel. Zooma is commissioned by Gearhing to build the websites, the intranet and, of course, the apps for the elementary school.

For Gearhing, Zooma developed the umbrella website and the 29 school sites. For the Gearhing schools it was important to be able to share many functionalities without losing the individual schools' own identity.

By making the websites responsive it doesn't matter whether visitors use a smartphone, tablet or desktop PC: the Gearhing sites work on all devices. And with the help of the Content Management System the schools themselves are able to maintain the site and send newsletters.

Besides the websites, Zooma is also working on apps for Gearhing. Gearquest is a community app available for iOS and Android. The app allows students to ask questions, and give answers, to students from other Frisian schools.
