Zooma joins Dutch Digital Agencies!
Recently, two of our project managers attended the very first PM Day organized by Dutch Digital Agencies (DDA) in Utrecht. DDA is a new network of similar digital agencies in the Netherlands, focused on sharing knowledge and helping each other improve. For Tom and Thomas, it was a great opportunity to spend an afternoon brainstorming with colleagues about the PM profession.

Everything from daily practice to future developments was discussed here. Spread across several rounds, they joined subgroups that discussed:
- Tooling: Which programs do you use as an agency (such as Jira, Notion, Slack, and AI tools) and how do you keep things clear for everyone? In this section, they shared tips on which tools work and don't work in practice.
- The role of the PM: What exactly does a project manager do, and where does that role end and that of, for example, an account manager or product owner begin? Here, we compared how different agencies approach this.
- Effective communication: How do you clearly say what is needed, even when you have to say "no," and still maintain a good relationship with the client and team? We discussed how to be firm without ruining the collaboration.

They came back with many new insights, consisting of both practical tips and confirmation that many agencies struggle with the same issues. It is enjoyable and valuable to be part of a community in which we can openly share what works and what doesn't.
Our conclusion after this day: we'll be back next time!
