Zooma @ Baantjer!
The new Baantjer movie was shot down the street from our Leiden office. For a moment the Old Rhine was transformed into the Amsterdam Red Light District. So yes that is a movie we all go to then! First a pizza at Leiden's best pizza baker O Sole Mio of course :-)
Because Amsterdam is overrun by tourists, the filmmakers chose to turn the Oude Rijn and the Kaasmarkt, among other places, into Amsterdam Red Light District, 1980s squatter buildings including floating corpses in the canal. Very funny. For example, a store with children's toys was converted into a sextent :-)
For people who don't like NL movies. This one is definitely worth watching. Check out the trailer. The film is about detective Jurre de Cock and his partner Tonnie Montijn who investigate a murder case in Amsterdam in the 80s, around the coronation day of Beatrix. Tygo Gernandt and Ruben van der Meer play rock solid!
