Ambulance service RAV Hollands Midden employs 250 people. The 31 ambulances drive 60,000 trips annually. The Hollands Midden region includes 19 municipalities with a total population of 770,000. The region covers the Bollenstreek, Leiden and environs, Alphen aan den Rijn and Gouda and environs.

In cooperation with RAV Hollands Midden management and ambulance drivers, Zooma developed an app especially for the Android (Zebra) phones that are installed as standard in ambulances. The main goal was to keep the app as simple as possible; a one-page app with large clear buttons.

After each trip, ambulance workers enter whether, in their opinion, a patient who was sent to the hospital might have been better off with Active Home Care or an Emergency Bed in a nursing home. RAV management can see the statistics in real time, and discuss them with health insurers, home care and nursing homes.
