Zooma has been building on the Hospital Hero concept since 2020, and in recent months the app was tested for the first time during a pilot at the pediatrics outpatient clinic at the Willem Alexander Children's Hospital (WAKZ), LUMC's children's hospital. A visit to the hospital is quite stressful for many children. The Hospital Hero app was developed with the goal of giving children between the ages of 4 and 12 a less stressful hospital experience.
